(M is a student of English. This is M’s first long report written entirely in English.)

My name is M.

My country’s name is Myanmar.

I am from Minbya township. Minbya is in the north of my country. It is flat and there are rivers and mountains behind my city. Lay Myo river is in front of my city. My city is small and interesting. It has one library. We have a festival in my city.

We have three seasons. It is rainy season, winter, and summer. One season has four months. For example, rainy season is from May to October. Winter is from September to December. Summer is from January to April.

We grow rice on fields in the rainy season. When we were there, we were living in a farmhouse. A cyclone storm destroyed us. People were in danger from it.

In Myanmar, summer is very hot. I think the average highest temperature in Myanmar during the summer months, March and April, is above 103 F.

In winter, I like winter because the weather is nice. We grow crops. When we were there, we had native celebration in my countryside. It is called Tazaungtine celebration.
